Chad Penner is a lawyer that strives to provide legal services and solutions that simply make sense. Working with clients in a personable and practical manner, Chad’s mission is to ensure a client understands the legal issues that affect them and to provide comprehensive and straight-forward solutions.
With a focus on business law and business related litigation, Chad enjoys working with clients ranging from entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses to large, established organizations. Some examples of Chad’s business law related work include:
- Launching businesses (i.e. incorporating, shareholders agreements, employment agreements)
- Contract preparation and review (i.e. services contracts, disclosure agreements, leases)
- Corporate maintenance (i.e. minute book maintenance, changes to company’s records and share structure)
In addition, Chad has extensive experience providing Clients business related litigation advice and representation. Examples of Chad’s business related litigation work include:
- Contract enforcement, collections
- Employment law and human rights issues
- Shareholder disputes and corporate take-overs
- Security enforcement and debtor/creditor rights
- Construction law issues (i.e. builders’ liens)
Professional Activities
Chad enjoys spending time with his Wife and young family, and pretending that he can run. He also considers himself an amazing fantasy football and hockey manager.

Community Activities
Chad provides pro-bono services to community-minded organizations and has volunteered as a member of the board of directors for a community health focused organization.
He was honoured to co-receive the Volunteer Manitoba – Spark Outstanding Pro-Bono Consultant Award in 2016.
